Well, this item's title says it all.  It came to us with a
modern pin finding glued to its back which immediately
fell off.  If you take a look at the back (see last photo)
you can tell it was probably a knob for something;
maybe an umbrella or perhaps part of a purse closure?  
In any event, it's a thermoplastic done in the Weiss style
with multicolor rhinestones of various sizes each which
has its own niche set into the plastic rather than merely
glued onto its surface.  It's extremely striking and pretty
in person, whatever it is.  It's fairly big and bulky at 1 1/2
inches in diameter and a 1/2 inch high and to my eyes
would be a bit awkward as a pin but who knows?  It's a
lovely piece just to have around and look at or maybe
even use for your own jewelry design.  I'm not that
creative myself.
