This pretty retro style floral brooch is in very good
condition, stamped, "Sterling," on its back, and
features three large (3/8" diameter) faceted
bright pink rhinestones as part of its floral
design. The back features a C-style safety clasp
and this pin measures 3 inches in length and 1
3/4 inches at its widest point.

Gorgeous gold vermeil over Sterling silver flower
basket brooch with rhinestone and faux pearl
accents. The gold wash has worn away on
much of the exposed area of the basket, which
leaves the gold on the flowers and leafs
providing some contrast. Having the Sterling
silver show through seems to add to this
brooch's charm rather than detract. Measures 2
1/4 inches in length and 1 7/8 inches at its
widest point, it is stamped, "Sterling," and "Pat.
Pend.," on the back. All stones are intact and
the brooch is in good condition. Circa 1940s.

Stunning and whimsical, this Sterling silver star
brooch has a gold wash which has faded in
some places but its stones are all prong set,
nice and bright. It has three tiered construction
(see picture 2), measures 2 1/2 inches in
diameter and is stamped, "Sterling," on its
reverse. In the interest of full disclosure there is
a small amount of movement between the tiers
but frankly I think that may be intentional to the
design rather than a design flaw. In good
condition. This brooch, especially with its
multicolor stones in open-back settings, is a
delight to the eyes.

Well, I don't know her vintage but I do know
she's beautiful. Wonderfully detailed sterling
silver pin depicting a figure from Ramayana
(sorry - I don't know which figure - perhaps
Sati??) which measures 2 3/4 inches in overall
length. Stamped with a hallmark and
"Thainakon Sterling Thailand," on the reverse, it
has an interesting safety catch closure with a U
shaped bar which closes down nicely over the
pin bar. In excellent condition.

Really BIG copper finish flower pin. This pin
measures almost 4 1/4 inches in length and is
a little over 2 1/2 inches at its widest. Quite
heavy, with a beautiful square glass stone of a
beautiful aqua blue. Best guess regarding
vintage is circa 1970s, perhaps earlier. Shows
signs of wear to its plating on either side of the
stem (see pictures 3 and 4).

Large sterling silver rose brooch features two
blooms and three leaves Lovely detailing and
stamped, "Sterling," on the back of the lowest
leaf (see picture two). Measures 2 1/2 inches in
length. Vintage unknown, condition is excellent;
all it needs is a slight polish if you're so inclined;
on this piece the bit of tarnishing adds to its
charm (in our opinion) and so it has been left
untouched.

This is a BIG, striking brooch. Crystal colored
rhinestones edge two rows of sky-blue navettes
set in a muted silvertone metal. This brooch
measures 2 3/4 inches in diameter & 7/8 inch
from interior edge to exterior edge. We've seen
it with yellow rhinestones rather than blue,
described as Czech. It bears no markings so
we can't comment on its origin. Suffice it to say
it's a dramatic & eye-catching piece of vintage
jewelry which would be a stunning addition to
any collection.

This is a contemporary, very large peacock pin
painted in shades of green, blue, red and yellow
with various colored tiny rhinestone accents
throughout. Please scroll through the photos;

condition.

make up the center of this funky painted metal

This palm tree pin appears in Kelley & Schiffer's
book, Plastic Jewelry, with an estimated value of
$145-160. We've seen it both in antique stores
and online identified as hand-carved celluloid.
While it may be celluloid, we are not convinced
that it is hand-carved. What we ARE sure of is
that it's a collectible piece of early plastic jewelry,
possibly a souvenir. 2.5 inches in height. We
feel our pricing better reflects this piece's true
value. Our best estimate of age is 1940's. If you

Interesting and puzzling (at least to us), this
bouquet of roses brooch/pin measures 1 1/2
inches in height and is made of a hard plastic,
stamped "Japan" on its back, and has a disk
which fastens onto a screw which is embedded
into the plastic on the back. Lapel pin, perhaps?
We've never seen a closure like this piece has
got. The base color on the plastic is red, and
the leaves and stems are painted green and
brown.

Celluloid calla lily stick pin measures 3 1/2
inches long and features a dozen clear
rhinestones. Half of these stones appear to
have darkened with age. Best guess is circa

This Scottie dog pin, minus the black accents on
ears and tails, appears in Leigh Leshner's
Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry. It features
movable heads, a simple 'C' closure and the pin
is fastened onto the plastic by use of two tiny
plastic pegs which extend from the pin back and
are inserted into two holes in the pin fastener.
Both heads move easily; as a matter of fact, the
head on the right, while in no danger of falling
off, is a good bit more 'wobbly' than the one on
the left. Overall, however, in good vintage
condition.

Pretty little reverse carved Lucite dress clip
stamped, "Made in France," on the inside of the
clip. The hardware on this clip was installed
slightly crooked but it is a firm clip with good
action which is unaffected by being slightly to
