Gorgeous gold vermeil over Sterling silver flower
basket brooch with rhinestone and faux pearl
accents. The gold wash has worn away on much
of the exposed area of the basket, which leaves
the gold on the flowers and leafs providing some
contrast. Having the Sterling silver show through
seems to add to this brooch's charm rather than
detract. Measures 2 1/4 inches in length and 1
7/8 inches at its widest point, it is stamped,
"Sterling," and "Pat. Pend.," on the back. All
stones are intact and the brooch is in good
condition. Circa 1940s.
