This Bakelite ribbon belt buckle is in excellent vintage
condition - nice and shiny, no chips, no cracks and only the
usual & customary wear on its metal parts. The metal
findings themselves are strong and secure. Interestingly,
although at first glance it appears to be primarily made of a
green Bakelite swirled with yellow, when held to the light the
green portion actually appears to have transparent portions,
as if it's actually an apple juice Bakelite swirled with green.
This lovely piece measures 4" in overall length and 1 7/8" in
width. An outstanding example of a classic American
Bakelite design, it would be a wonderful addition to any
Bakelite collection. Tests positive with Simichrome polish.
