This military-looking silver tone pin features
three layer construction (see picture #2),
riveted at the center and a four-color pattern of
small Bakelite tiles, all of which test positive
with Simichrome. The pin has substantial
weight and measures 2 1/2 inches across
and closes with a C-style safety clasp. In very
good condition.

Chunky reverse carved applejuice Bakelite
pin, in very good condition. Age-appropriate
wear to the metal pin back (please see
photos 3 and 4). This pin features a reverse
carved applejuice Bakelite "dome" mounted
on a circle of what appears to be black Lucite
with a riveted pin back with simple C closure.
It measures 1 1/2 inches square and is 7/8
inches in height - a wonderfully chunky little
piece of vintage Bakelite jewelry. A near
identical pin can be seen in Leigh Leshner's
Collecting Art Plastic Jewelry. Circa 1940s.

Beautiful, deeply carved Bakelite or Prystal
dress clip. Tests positive with 409. This
piece measures 2 1/4 inches in length and is
1 inch at its widest and a little over 1/4 inch at
its narrowest. The clip is fastened with small
screws rather than rivets. I would rate the clip
action itself as fair; it latches onto fabrics fine
but I'm sure it started out life with a little more
'spring' in its step and could use some
tightening. Overall not too bad for its age.
Best guess is circa 1940s.

Nicely carved butterscotch Bakelite dress clip,
in very good condition. This pretty little thing
measures 2 1/8 inches in length and 1/2 inch
wide, and tests positive with Simichrome.

This is a pretty interesting set. At first we
thought the large Bakelite beads in the
bracelet were scored with vertical lines at
each end but in fact the 'panel' portions of the
bracelet are comprised of three separate
beads. Their shape is rather distinctful and is
mimicked in the shape of the matching
earrings. Both the bracelet and earrings are 1
inch in height, and the bracelet's 3-bead
panels as well as the earrings measure 7/8"
in width. Certain of the bracelet's beads have
a darker, brownish color to them which is not
damage to the beads nor to their finish but is
a part of the Bakelite material itself. The
metal clips on the earrings show evidence of
usual and customary wear. This set tests
positive with Simichrome polish.

Fun three color Bakelite slice bracelet with
matching earrings. Done in marbled
pumpkin color Bakelite, marbled russet color
Bakelite and a deep chocolate brown
Bakelite, the bracelet measures 8 inches in
total length and can fit even a larger wrist
nicely. Each Bakelite slice measures
approximately 1 7/16 inches in height and 3/8
inch thick. The earrings are done in marbled
russet Bakelite with the clips nice & snug.
This demi tests positive with 409.

Light avocado green Bakelite stretch bracelet
with brass tone spacers and matching
earrings. Ten Bakelite wedges make up this
pretty bracelet, each measuring 1 1/4 inches
in height and a wee over 1/2 inch at the widest
part. The Bakelite wedges used on the
earrings have the same measurements.
There's a bit of age-appropriate finish wear to
some of the brass tone spacers and to the
metal findings on the earrings; otherwise, this
set is in very good vintage condition and
passes the 409 test with flying colors.

This exquisite matched set provides that
perfect touch of elegance to whatever you're
wearing -- whether it's a suit, dress or jeans.
Double strand, graduated Bakelite bead
necklace done in warm variated tones of root
beer/faux tortoise with push-in clasp topped
with a cabochon of matching Bakelite, which
is echoed in the design of the clip hoop
earrings. Both necklace and earrings are in
very good condition (only usual and expected
wear to the metal findings) and test positive
with Simichrome polish. The beads on the
necklace range from 1/4" in diameter up to
5/8", and the overall length of the necklace is
16 inches. The earrings are 1 5/8" in overall
length and the dangling hoop measures 1
inch in diameter. We've provided several
photos in an attempt to capture the warmth &
rich glow which seems to emanate from this
lovely set.
